Hello there! I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for all the lovely comments you left me on the painting. I enjoyed working on it and I find painting quite meditating.
I was feeling a little creative over the weekend as well so, inspired by my love of kokeshi dolls, I picked up the paint brush again and painted a trio of dolls. I used some of my favourite fabrics for their bodies. Fun!

Cute!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you can find a way to rubber stamp those images and take make fabric cut outs for clothes..?
Seems I remember cheating my way through fashion illustration in a similar way. A modern take on the paper cut-out dolls.
TERI REES WANG - that's a great idea. Actually, I was considering creating the dolls as prints but I had fun painting them. I think it makes them a bit more special.
ReplyDeleteI've now listed this artwork in my store. I will be creating more and listing them in the next few days - different styles, different fabrics. It's like playing dress-ups!
xx
You are very clever with your art skills! x
ReplyDeleteOhhh you'll be creating more? I'd love to see some in different fabrics. But I love the faces on these ones. ♥
