A place to read a good book

Wednesday, August 24, 2011

Last summer I purchased a pod chair with the intention of sitting in it forever and ever. It never quite got the use I wanted it to because it took me a while to assemble it. Incidentally, I assembled it myself and moved it up a few stairs to its current position in the garden. Not recommended! Two people are definitely needed to carry it.

I'm having a tea party this weekend with my girlfriends and this little spot will provide another place for guests to sit and relax with a cup of tea and cake. One project I would like to tackle soon is the garden. When the weather warms up again I'll be out there with my gardening gloves on.

  1. That is one unusual pod. Very pretty! Was it comfortable when you took your book and had time out? Fiona

  2. This is probably the most beautiful pod chair I've ever seen! Wowza. I'm sure it was worth the difficult assembly and carrying :)

  5. Go girl power! I really want one of those pod chairs for under my patio, although I'm sure I'd sit in it more if it was inside in the living room or something instead of outside in the cold!

  6. If you do get stuck into the garden make sure you keep us updated! I've just loved looking after the garden at our house over the last year - it's so rewarding :)

  7. I've had the same pod seat on my wish list for awhile now. Love it! I would prefer an Eero Aarnio 'Bubble' Chair but that is so out of the budget; and I couldn't leave it outside either. Have a lovely weekend in the garden!

  8. Lovely! Is the chair freestanding, or suspended from above? Either way, it's adorable. And so are the pillows!

  14. Thank you! I definitely promise to show you my gardening progress. There's lots to do but I don't like getting out there when it is cold.

Jen, I bought the stand to go with the pod chair but it can also be attached from a ceiling indoors.
