I'm alive! I have had a crazy week, some not very good news to deal with and just the general madness that is my life lately. Hope you have been well!
My new dining chairs will be delivered this week (see above) but I have been a little slack in choosing a dining table to match them with. I had narrowed down my choice to the Re-Trouve table that I wrote about in this post however I saw the table in person and as beautiful as it is I think it will be better suited as an outdoor table because of its metal top. Oh, the base is such a sexy shape though!
My next choice is the Heaven table also by KE-ZU. I think this will be the one unless you have come across any other tables I should consider?
And I am planning to top it all off with this light from Lightly most likely in white. I have seen a trend lately in wire lighting and although ordinarily I would be turned away by the thought of an exposed light bulb frying my eyeballs, I really like this lighting. The colours are fun too - it comes in red, yellow, white and black.
I'm open to your suggestions though!

ReplyDeleteThe Heaven table will look great with your bamboo chairs! I like the light too, though I might go with a colour instead of white just to keep things from being too monochromatic. Can't wait to see it all together!
ReplyDeleteEverything you do always looks so pretty and fresh, I think this table is a better choice too from the previous one, looks a bit sleeker and maybe will compete a little less with the chairs...which are also beautiful! The exposed light bulb thing would bug me too but I have a feeling you will make it look great!

ReplyDeleteI have chair envy! Just gorgeous. I would definately go the white for your wire lighting, but I love everything in white! They are simple and understated, and a grat feature.

Love the idea/look of the wire lamp but wow what a price for the bare skeleton of a shade! I found (albeit a lot smaller one) a vintage shade at the flea markets some time ago for $2 (the fabric wasn't that nice so I striped it back)and it has such a pretty shape. I love the chairs and that light! I remember you posted about that table ages ago too so you've loved it for a while...the heaven table is lovely too! I LOVE the bye bye birdy pendant by Koskela - also a wire light.
