Bathrooms

I should be working on a bathroom homework project at the moment but I thought I would sneak in some time to say 'hello' and to share this photo with you. The white wooden floorboards and the curved shape of the tub make me wish this space was my own to relax in and enjoy.

I am drawn to the use of natural wood in bathrooms whether it be in the form of a stool or chair or flooring (I know it isn't the most practical) or better still - a traditional Japanese style wooden bath where the aroma of the wood, the depth of the water and the steam would allow me to sink into a meditative calmness. Heaven.

Okay enough dreaming. I must get back to work.

  2. I love tubs like that.... I think it's because the shape of them reminds me of half an eggshell, and I can imagine the warmth and soothing feeling of cocooning myself in there and escaping from the rest of the world. I have quite a few egg shaped objects around my home, and they all give me that sort of nurturing feeling!

    Beautiful pic!

  3. It is lovely, but I am so over dead things on the floor - I hope it is faux :) I have lived with wooden bathrooms and found them to be rather hard wearing ... except hair dye ... it's a killer :) best le
