Last night we had a casual celebration with friends. It was very relaxed with lots of food - too much food! We talked all night, laughed, shared our stories from 2009 and what we hope to do and see in 2010. It was nice.
We setup in the garage because it looked as though it might rain and we didn't want to disturb the sleeping kids upstairs. It turned out to be a nice night though so we ate here and then relaxed in the backyard afterwards. I decorated with paper lanterns I already owned and a bright IKEA paper table cover.
I didn't have time for much else because I was too busy preparing the food and ruining a cake. I made the most awful cheesecake. I can't bring myself to share a photo of it. It was more like a berry yoghurt than a cheesecake. But I have the best friends in the world and they still ate it.. and wanted seconds!I hope you had a nice night too and that 2010 is all that you hope it to be. Happy New Year!
