Update 22/02/2010: I have received a message from Mooo today stating that their puzzle piece has been voluntarily recalled. Mooo recommends that you take this product away from children and visit their site for more information on what to do with your existing product. You can arrange for a repair/replace of your existing product through Mooo.
I have been on the hunt today for kids gifts for Christmas and while I was at it I put together a collection of my favourites to share with you.
Left: Mini Christmas Tree Limited Edition Adhesive Fabric Wall Stickers via lovemaestoreRight: Modern Baby Clock - Bear via decoylab
A Christmas tree wall decal by Mae adds a festive touch to the nursery. After the holiday season is over, you can take off the candy cane stickers and I think the decal would then look great all year around. I have also long admired decoylab's designs and this little bear clock would look very cute in a kids' room.
Left: Cocoon Couture bookendsRight: Cocoon Couture bean bags
What is not to love about Cocoon Couture? The little bookend animals add a whimsical touch to a young book lovers' room and the bean bag provides a comfortable place to sit and read. I recently purchased the monkey bean bag in red (pictured) for
I popped into Kikki-k today and got lost amongst the stationery. Half and hour later I left the store with a few gifts for friends. Both the Cykel and Vastkust range of stationery would make nice gifts for kids of school age.
The Alphabet cushion has been on my wish list for a while but I have banned myself from buying any more cushions for a while. I can see it looking cute in a nursery. I am also one of many who adore Mandy Sutcliffe's illustrations for Belle and Boo and these two prints are my favourites.
Left: Sunnylife Beach Sounds, BermudaMiddle: Sunnylife Beach Paddles
Right: An angel at my table teepee
When I think of beach products my mind wanders over to Sunnylife. A couple of years ago I purchased a few Sunnylife products to give as gifts including a radio and paddles although the designs were a little different to the ones pictured above. The kids loved them. Also, Robert received a teepee for his first birthday which I think makes a great gift for kids who enjoy imaginative play and being outdoors. We haven't yet set it up but we will do so this summer. If you are thinking of purchasing a teepee, see Belinda's helpful review here.
And finally there is nothing sweeter than a personalised gift. Robert recently received a Mooo custom puzzle (left) and I've since purchased one for a friend (but shhh, I can't say who in case they are reading this). Whilst browsing around Mooo I also came across the backpack (right). There are lots of different designs to choose from.
Phew! I hope this gift guide has been useful for anyone on the hunt for kids gifts this holiday season or beyond. Please check with each company regarding their cut-off dates if you require delivery in time for Christmas.
