Wallpaper for the master bedroom

The master bedroom needs work and I still like the idea of installing wallpapered panels like above.

This seller on ebay sells fairly inexpensive wallpaper for about 15 pounds + about 10 pounds shipping to Australia per roll.

I have my eye on this Graham & Brown paper:

Pretty, huh?

My plan is to purchase a few large MDF boards from Bunnings, paper them and then trim with white moulding to hide any ragged edges. Not sure how easy it will be to do but I'm up for the challenge.

Stay tuned!

  1. Wow great idea Viv. We are wallpapering one wall in our bedroom, just waiting on my paper samples from Laura Ashley this week. I must say though it is really crazy what people charge to hang wallpaper in Sydney. We had a quote for $2000. The wall isn't even big!!

  3. $2000!!! I only paid about $250-300 for my son's room and that was a big over 1 wall. He was recommended to me from Porters Paints where I bought the wallpaper.

If you'd like his details let me know your email address and I can forward to you.

  4. GET OUT! OMG that would be fabulous. I was getting ready to give up for a while. I can't believe the audacity of the guys we have had quoting so far. They came recommended by mokum. Sooo pricey. But you know what's funny? They are so booked out! I will email you now. THank you so much.

  5. Beautiful selections! I have been watching ebay for a while - Aus sellers - so thanks for the tip re UK seller. I want to wallpaper the facing wall in our entrance way as it is pokey and anything there gets in the way. Will wait to learn from your tips!

  6. lovely! i'm having a bit of a yellow and grey moment. and i've been coveting the solitude wallpaper in white on white from that site for aaaaaaaaages. first it was going in our room, then the babies, then our room again... can't decide! maybe layla's when she gets her own room - when she HOPEFULLY gets her own room.

  9. I love wall paper. I just don't know know if I am brave enough to do it. I do like how the first two pics did a little wallpaper... hmm, maybe I can try that.
